Great Lakes Carpentry of Mercer Honored as Builder of the Year
Randy Nilsson of Great Lakes Carpentry of Mercer has been named as the “Builder of the Year” for 2012 by the Headwaters Builders Association.
The awards were announced recently at the Association’s holiday party at the Whitetail Inn in St. Germain. The awards recognize those members of the Headwaters Builders Association who exemplify the mission of the Association by their dedication to their business, their communities, and to the association.
The 2012 Builder Member of the Year award was awarded to Nilsson, who serves on the Carpentry Advisory Committee of Nicolet College. He is an active member of the Lions Club and volunteers at a variety of community events. He has served on Headwaters Builders Association’s Board of Directors as a State Director and currently serves as president of the Association.
He is devoted to continuing education as it relates to his profession, as well as to the design and construction of highly energy efficient homes, He has achieved Certified Green Professional certification from the National Association of Home Builders. Great Lakes Carpentry specializes in energy-efficient logtimber-frame homes.
The winners of the Association awards are selected by a committee based on participation in association events, professionalism in business and service to their community.
