Haskell Lake Passive House

This will be our first PHIUS Certified Passive House.

These owners can expect to save up to 90% on heating and cooling costs. They’ll have a complete change of fresh, filtered air every 4 hours on average, that they’ve recovered over 90% of their heating/cooling dollars from in the process.

What we think the “killer app” is here is the fact that it will never get under 50 degrees if the power were to go out for the entire winter. Because every building science best practice is implemented during construction, homes built to Passive House Standard will last 120-150 years and still deliver on efficiency.

When people learn that it costs between 3% to 15% more to build to the Passive House Standard, they tend to agree with us that this is a “no-brainer.”
