At Great Lakes Carpentry and Timberlog Works, our sales and design staff is committed to helping our customers design and build the most beautiful, energy and resource-efficient full log and timber frame homes in Northern Wisconsin.  We’re friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about our work, and we take pride in going the extra mile to inform our customers of the benefits of building an Energy Star Rated, GreenBuilt Certified home.
As Independent Representatives of Timberpeg® The Artisans of Post & Beam, we use nature’s finest, most desirable building materials, and combine the time tested methods of traditional mortise and tendon joinery with state of the art building envelope technology, materials, and equipment, to build you a one-of-a-kind timber-frame home.  A Timberpeg home is not only beautiful, comfortable, and energy efficient, but it will cost less to operate and stand the test of time for generations to come.
As Authorized Dealers for Strongwood Log Home Company, our biggest advantage is that we use Properly Kiln-Dried Logs. By taking the extra time and care to kiln-dry, we lessen the likelihood of warping, twisting, and shrinking that often happens with green wood and air-dried lumber. These Kiln-dried logs are sanitized, easy to maintain and finish, and the airtight joints make them energy- and cost-effective. Strongwood’s construction techniques are second to none, and combined with our attention to detail on air infiltration, indoor air quality and energy efficiency, we have a system that works.
Great Lakes Carpentry and Timberlog Works are proud members of WESH (Wisconsin Energy Star Homes) program, and are enrollees of the Wisconsin Environmental Initiative (Green Built Homes).  We have launched on a journey into a new frontier of building envelope science and energy conservation, and we are excited and proud to have built the very first Wisconsin Energy Star Rated and GreenBuilt Certified Full Log Home in the State of Wisconsin.
From sales to design to field staff, we are passionate about the quality of our products, services and energy and resource conservation. We are committed to continuing education to improve our skill sets, and the innovation and implementation of the latest and most efficient materials and techniques the industry has to offer.
